A recent article in the Wall Street Journal (Saturday/Sunday, August 2-3, 2008) John Hanenfeld, president of BuyatAuction.com, discussed the reasons for listing auctions online. BuyatAuction.com accepts online bids prior to the actual auction to build interest and provide information at anytime via the Internet.
The article states that buyers and sellers of real estate are increasingly discovering the advantages of doing business through auction, rather than through a broker. And auctions with an online component offer added advantages.
